The legend surrounding Venta del Barón

This Extra Virgin Olive Oil receives its name thanks to the Baron of Santaella and his curious legend. King Charles III, dispossessed him and all his descendants of their noble title, as a condemnation for having taken the life of his wife in a jealousy reaction.

As a consequence of this decision, the family moved to the Sierra de Priego, where they dedicated generation after generation to the cultivation of olives. The liquid gold extracted from these olives in the mountains, with a sweet, fruity taste and excellent quality and the King himself decided to restore the title of Baron.

And that is today Venta del Barón. A family business dedicated body and soul to the artisanal production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Made with the Hojiblanca and Picuda varieties, it also has the Priego de Córdoba Designation of Origin.
