Vermouths Dos Déus, the Vermouth from the Priorat
Our vermouths Dos Deus
When a product is in fashion, the need to look for new horizons and reinvent the traditional arises.
When they talk about Vermouth, we all imagine a glass with ice, a slice of orange or an olive. We sit on a terrace to have some tapas before eating, on a sunny noon. But what if it wasn't the only way to drink vermouth?
Priorat B&D Lab is a winery located in Bellmunt del Priorat (Catalonia). They make original distillates and drinks, recovering old recipes and adapting them to new times of consumption.
Innovation is their DNA and that has led them to win many awards with their vermouths, from the classics to the most innovative.
Can you imagine a northern European-style hot vermouth, like the famous “mulled” or “glüh wine”? Or take a smoked vermouth whiskey or bourbon style with a little ice, on a Sunday afternoon reading a book or simply watching a sunset?
Priorat B&D Lab is not only a winery. They define themselves as an experimental laboratory where they make original distillates and drinks, recovering old recipes and adapting them to new moments of consumption. They make innovative products, with soul. Innovation is its distinctive, but always keeping the origins in all their creations.
This idea has led them to position among the best vermouths in Catalonia, an area with a long tradition in the production of vermouth. Moreover, this is the winery that has won the most awards in 2021.
The prestigious World Spirits Competition in San Francisco has awarded the gold medal to one of their vermouths. All this is achieved with a job well done. Each vermouth is given the needed time to age.
Dos Deus Origins
It is a young and fresh range of vermouths that returns to its origins. For its elaboration, they use local grapes and for its aging at the Priorat barrels.
They are made with different grape varieties that provide the vermouth with fruity, complex and elegant tones. They are three vermouths with body and mythological essence, which come from the heart of Priorat. These vermouths represent Athena (Red Vermouth), Poseidon (White Vermouth) and Zeus (Dry White Vermouth).
Dos Déus Gama Premium
This range represents all the tradition and elegance of the work done with love, passion and dedication. This range consists of traditional Spanish vermouth with a modern twist. These vermouths are intense with elegant notes balanced with sherry and candied orange notes. They have been matured in selected barrels for 3 years.
In this range we find two vermouths: the Dos Déus Estrellas and the Dos Déus Reserva Única.
Dos Déus Innovación (Ediciones Especiales)
Priorat B&D Lab has opted for innovation and this is reflected in this range that has led them to win the Vinari Award for innovation two years running.
As a result of this work, these special editions are born in which they add distinctive touches to traditional products that make their products unique.
Two intense, sweet vermouths with hints of citrus and cinnamon are born from the fusion of the Nordic and Mediterranean cultures. They are recommended to be consumed hot: Dos Déus Mediterraneo and Dos Déus Nórdico. On the other hand, inspired by Islay whiskey and American bourbon, Dos Déus DIP is an extreme vermouth, with strength and a devilish touch.

Vermouth Dos Déus Mediterráneo
Dos Déus Mediterráneo explores the traditions of northern Europe such as the famous “mulled” or “glüh wine”. They are made through a long maturation process, combining the vermouth formulas aged in the Jerez tradition with the macerations of different botanicals in demijohns in the sun.
On the nose, it is reminiscent of aromas of cinnamon, orange and citrus fruits with a background of chocolate. In the mouth it maintains a perfect balance between bitterness, sweetness and acidity, which gives it breadth and harmony.
Once heated, the aromas vary and it has a great wealth of nuances: lemon peel, vanilla, and a touch of clove. Dos Déus Mediterráneo vermouth can also be drunk cold, but it is designed to be drunk hot in winter. To consume it, it is recommended to heat it in cups for 45-60 seconds in the microwave at 700W and serve it with two coffee beans. To taste it, let it cool, in this way you will enjoy the full range of flavors and layers of aromas as the temperature decreases.

Like the Mediterranean, Dos Déus Nórdico vermouth explores the traditions of northern Europe such as the famous “mulled” or “glüh wine”. It has been made following the tradition of Scottish distillates of roasting plants through the use of carbon smoke and organic peat. It serves to dry and flavor, which mixed with Priorat wines results in a new vermouth. It has been matured using the Tennessee bourbon method, leaving the vermouth to rest in new, extra-toasted 200-liter American oak barrels.
On the nose it is intense with caramelized, smoked and iodized notes. On the palate, notes of licorice stick, cinnamon, candied pear, marked smoked and toasted notes, very complex and pleasant on the palate. It is recommended to enjoy it with ice or to make cocktails.

Using Dos Déus vermouths as a pairing in appetizers before eating, with desserts or simply to drink alone. Taking the vermouth only with ice so that it is fresh is a guarantee of success. It makes any appetizer a success and is an ideal drink for any time of the year. However, you have to know how to combine it to enhance its olfactory and taste properties.
The Dos Deus Origins white and Dos Deus Origins Red Reserva vermouths are ideal to accompany with any appetizer before eating or in the afternoon, or in a snack meal. These two vermouths are ideal for marinating with olives, potato chips and canned seafood and gourmet fish. They combine very well with canned anchovies, as well as with cockles or mussels.
Dos Deus Smoked DIP vermouth is perfect for pairing with sweet desserts and chocolates as it is designed to be used in cocktails or as a liqueur.
The Dos Deus Caliente Nordico vermouth is designed to be drunk hot, only with cinnamon since it is, like the “glu wein”, a winter drink. However, it can also be taken cold like any other vermouth.
