1. The origin of Vermouth Dos Déus del Priorat

When a product is in fashion, the need to look for new horizons and reinvent the traditional arises.

When they talk about Vermouth, we all imagine a glass with ice, a slice of orange or an olive. We sit on a terrace to have some tapas before eating, on a sunny noon. But what if it wasn't the only way to drink vermouth?

Priorat B&D Lab is a winery located in Bellmunt del Priorat (Catalonia). They make original distillates and drinks, recovering old recipes and adapting them to new times of consumption.

Innovation is their DNA and that has led them to win many awards with their vermouths, from the classics to the most innovative.

Can you imagine a northern European-style hot vermouth, like the famous “mulled” or “glüh wine”? Or take a smoked vermouth whiskey or bourbon style with a little ice, on a Sunday afternoon reading a book or simply watching a sunset?

6. Pairing of Dos Déus Vermouth

Using Dos Déus vermouths as a pairing in appetizers before eating, with desserts or simply to drink alone. Taking the vermouth only with ice so that it is fresh is a guarantee of success. It makes any appetizer a success and is an ideal drink for any time of the year. However, you have to know how to combine it to enhance its olfactory and taste properties.

The Dos Deus Origins white and Dos Deus Origins Red Reserva vermouths are ideal to accompany with any appetizer before eating or in the afternoon, or in a snack meal. These two vermouths are ideal for marinating with olives, potato chips and canned seafood and gourmet fish. They combine very well with canned anchovies, as well as with cockles or mussels.

Dos Deus Smoked DIP vermouth is perfect for pairing with sweet desserts and chocolates as it is designed to be used in cocktails or as a liqueur.

The Dos Deus Caliente Nordico vermouth is designed to be drunk hot, only with cinnamon since it is, like the “glu wein”, a winter drink. However, it can also be taken cold like any other vermouth.
