This Iberico Bellota Shoulder, 100% Pata Negra Iberian Breed, has been made in the area of ​​Castilla y León and has more than 24 months of curying time. This pure Iberian piece belongs to the front leg of the pig, which has been fed on acorns and natural pastures.

Castilla y León is one of the main producing areas of Iberico 100% Pata Negra products thanks to its climate of hot summers and soft winters and its wide expanses of pastures in which the pigs graze. In addition, its fooding gives it that characteristic flavor of Ibérico Bellota Pata Negra Shoulders, with an intense Iberian flavor with fruity touches. Its meat is of a colour from an intense red to pinkish color and its fat, between white and transparent, has a creamy texture and an intense aroma.

It is a product of the highest quality among the Iberico Bellota hams and valued worldwide as one of the great gastronomic treasures.

This rating is for the ham itself. It had a strange taste and smell from the start, not like other iberico hams I'd had before. I thought it might get better, but it got worse. I contacted Jamonarium to let them know, but didn't receive a response initially, so I turned the ham over to try from the other side. I had to cut a lot of fat off before coming to any meat. I sent some pictures to Jamonarium to say I had a lot of waste and it was very poor value for money. They did then respond about the smell/taste and said I had to return the ham with 30 days AND it had to be at least 80% of original weight. I could not do this as I had cut a lot of fat off. I told them this but they have not responded back again. I would NOT buy from Jamonarium again because they use nitrates in ALL but one of their hams, they smell/taste strange (not nice at all), quality of the ham (so much wasted fat) and the poor customer service.

Hello Charalambos, Thanks for your review. Your order was placed the 22nd of November.You first contact us the 7th January with this issue. We ask you for pictures and for the possibility of returning the piece. There was no option to be returned because it has gone. The pictures show a shoulder almost finished. We explain you that if the shoulder is not eaten and its not fine, we ship it back, of course. However, if the ham has almost gone and it have been a month and a half from the day it was delivered, we can't change the piece. I hope you understand our position, we need to have some conditions about how to proceed in case of a problem with the hams. If you feel the ham is not ok, when you open it, contact us and we will solve the issue. The matter of the fat was not reflected in the pictures at all, because there was not fat left. I'm sorry you are not satisfy with our service, we try to be really fair with all our customers and always be there if our products are not correct, which is really rare. I am somewhat at a loss to see what you could do better with regard to improvements as the whole service from ordering to delivery is first class, (perhaps that is why I am a returning customer), the support you give is exceptional. The one thing that you give (many customers will find extremely helpful) is the email when receiving the ham showing information on how to slice/cut your ham. I would fully recommend *** to all out there.

Very very tasty 100% iberico Pata Negra paleta. As good as a 5J or Joselito. It didn't last long at home, my friends don't want to leave my house, they are stick to the Bellota ham.
